This article discusses the misattribution of organs in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and the communication problems this creates when discussing Chinese medicine with patients or non-TCM healthcare professionals. This mainly involves confusion around such organs as the pancreas, spleen, adrenal glands, gonads and the kidneys.
